The Syro Malabar Youth Movement (SMYM) is the official youth organization of the Syro Malabar Church, uniting over 1.6 million young Catholics worldwide. Rooted in faith and guided by the teachings of Christ, SMYM inspires youth to live with purpose, compassion, and commitment to their community.

At St. Mary’s Syro-Malabar Mission, Newcastle | Maitland, SMYM provides a vibrant space for young people to grow spiritually, share their talents, and take an active role in parish life. Through prayer, fellowship, and service, our youth work together to strengthen the Church’s mission and spread the love of Christ in our local community.

Though still developing, the movement continues to grow rapidly—empowering young hearts to be the light of faith both within our parish and across the world.
